Need help wiskin analyzer olayth super itchy foal?

Our foal is just at 2 months old and is super itchy. She rubs her neskin analyzer magnifierck and head on everything so much that she has rubbed hair off in spots (she looks horrible) and her rump. She started with around her ears but now pretty much rubs her whole body on anything that will stand still and she is starting rub raw. I…

Our foal is just at 2 months old and is super itchy. She rubs her neck and head on everything so much that she has rubbed hair off in spots (she looks horrible) and her rump. She started with around her ears but now pretty much rubs her whole body on anything that will stand still and she is starting rub raw. I put ointment on her raw spots but I have no idea what is causing the itching or how to stop it. This has been going on for about a month now and started before I started applying fly spray. We live in west Texas where there is more dirt than grass. She isn’t halter or broke to lead so a bath is really out of the question. ( we are working on the halter…she was a surprise foal and are learning as we go) I could stand there and she would let me scratch her all day. I know she has to feel awful.

Maikang they do loose their coat. you normally see it go around the eyes and nose first, and that does make them rub. but i would be concerned if they were rubbing down to flesh.she might have got lice etc but you would expect to see her mum with the same problem. it could be a Allergy to some thing she is in contact with.

i would ask your vet to have a look just to be on the safe side.skin analyzer

Maikang try using listerine, maybe its rain rot, we’ve used it for our horses, mix in some apple cider vineger, and water… its always worked for us… =) but i also suggest calling a vet though if it gets any worseskin analyzer

if you get some lice powder and get that on her that may help
is there white speckles?
