my face looks old and tired what can i do-19 ways for you choose

my face looks old and tired what can i do-19 ways for you choose

Step 1: Perk yourself up with a five-minute Dr. Bronner’s Peppermint Soap bath. Add plenty of this magic liquid soap to your tub, and you will be instantly revitalized and refreshed. (Important: Make sure to put your face in the water too!)

Step 2: Add a few eye drops to each eye to take out the tired burn and redness. This alone really helps a lot.

Step 3: Moisturize your face and neck with your favorite cream, tap some eye serum under and over your eyes and then SPRITZ your face and neck to death with rose water or Evian water mist. When you mist your face after creaming it, it not only wakes you up, but it hydrates the heck out of your exhausted skin which creates the perfect canvas to then add makeup.

Step 4: Now that your skin is all aglow, counteract your exhausted look (which usually one can see under the eyes in the form of puffiness or dark circles) by distracting your audience’s attention and playing up a different feature with a bright color: YOUR LIPS! Red lips, florissant lips, berry stain or gloss or both will immediately create a well-rested, happy illusion that can win any crowd. People will naturally only stare at your mouth when there is a bold color on it and that pulls focus away from your tired eyes. Of course add foundation, concealer, blush, mascara and whatever else you want, but keep the eye makeup simple and play up those lips!

Step 5: Bronze up your skin! Tan skin always alludes to rest and vacation; it is another way to detract from looking tired. Bronzed skin combined with bright lips alone will make you look very well rested.

Step 6: Make your hair look amazing! Even if it is neatly slicked back, when your hair looks groomed people are less likely to realize how tired your face looks.

Step 7: Wear your favorite pair of slightly tinted sunglasses with those bright lips and tan skin. It’s just a hot look in general, but it will block out all the extra light which can often irritate tired eyes.

Step 8: Make sure to grab a bottle of water and a straw (not to ruin your lipstick) as you walk out your door and drink the whole thing down. When you are tired your face needs hydration, so DRINK LOTS OF WATER throughout the day!

Food

Step 9 Eat well: While there’s no guaranteed way to get you looking more awake and less tired, there are certain foods you can eat to make sure you look rested and will help sleep: “The amino acid tryptophan helps the body get regular sleep. The best sources include salmon, turkey, cottage cheese and grapes – which are brilliant for your skin too,” says renowned American dermatologist Dr Nicholas Perricone.

Step  10 Water: We don’t need to tell you how important water is for your body and general well-being, but did you also know that if you don’t drink enough it can weaken your under-eye skin causing bags and more wrinkles? Start guzzling now, and you’ll start feeling and looking more awake, we guarantee it.

The prep

So you’ve got your eight-hours and also started religiously carrying a bottle of water everywhere you go, but you still feel like you want to look more awake? Before you start slapping on the makeup, make sure you’ve got a great base to start with.

“The right products will make a real difference to the quality and health of your skin. [They can] revive your complexion at the beginning as well as at the end of a long day,” says Harley Street beauty expert Lesley Reynolds

Step 12 Overnight masks: Avoid tight and flaky skin, which can make you look tired, with a product that works while you sleep. “My favourite is Origins Drink Up Intensive Mask which smells divine. I put mine on last thing at night and rather than washing off ten minutes later, I sleep in it and come the morning it has all fully sunk in,” recommends Stylist‘s Beauty Assistant Shannon Peter.

Step 13  Exfoliate:  A Model Recommends blogger, Ruth Crill suggests that you “get rid of dead skin cells as that’s what makes skin cells look dull”. To do this she uses a mask, such as GlamGlow, although you don’t want to do it every day it will help shed that dead skin.

Step 14 Tan: Kate Moss loves a good tan “[It] gives you a healthier glow; you just look healthier in general. You can get away with a late night with a tan – it covers up a multitude of sins.” We know her favourite is St Tropez, and we have to say it’s also one of our favourites too.

Step 15 Cleanse and tone: This should be a ritual for anyone who doesn’t want to look tired in the mornings.

Maggie Hitchins, Stylist.co.uk‘s editor particularly loves Emma Hardie’s Amazing Face Morning Cleansing Balm. “It has, no exaggeration, changed my skin. The accompanying abrasive muslin cloth sloughs off dead skin at the end of the day and lets skin breathe overnight. And the ingredients – which include neroli, jasmine and rose – are designed to recondition dull and dry skin. If you want a fresh, dewy complexion and to banish the dull pallor that the British winter is just so good at inducing, grab yourself some of this magic potion.”

Step 16  Moisturise: Another golden rule for not looking exhausted in the mornings. Georgia at Aveda says “reaching its highest temperatures overnight our skin both loses and absorbs moisture faster and more effectively while we sleep, consequently lack of sleep can cause your skin to become dehydrated as well as dull and lacking in vibrancy. Use a hydrating moisturiser day and night to help combat dehydration of the skin”.
Three-minutes after washing your face apply your moisturiser and then try to use an SPF too. Even, better use a combination one. Here’s our guide on choosing a great moisturiser. If you’re still not sure on how to do your daily skin care regimen we’ve got one right here, that includes in which order you should be applying cleanser, toner, serum, eye cream and moisturiser.
Step 17 Pay close attention to the driest spots: Blogger, Shaanxo suggests using an eye cream (as it’s more moisturising) on the spots that are particularly dry. She particularly loves this Maracula Brighter Eye Treatment cream.
Step 18 Use a primer: Makeup artist Lisa Eldridge recommends them as a great base for your makeup as they smooth the skin, minimise pores and help your makeup stay on longer. You can even use it in place of your moisturiser, although if you’ve got dry skin then use a moisturiser too. Here, Lisa talks about various different primers and also recommends Clarins Beauty Flash Balm.
Step 19 Wake up your face with an ice bath: another tip from Kate Moss: “it instantly tightens everything making you feel and look instantly awake
